Greetings!
Welcome to the 2008 Spring Semester of Continuing Education classes at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. The feedback we’ve received indicated an interest in a variety of topics stressing the importance of refining interpersonal skills. Consequently, we are offering courses on the topics mentioned most often that affect every individual and the organizations in which they work.

When you think of workforce diversity do you only think of race and gender? What about the individual characteristics we all bring to our workplace? What about age, education, and work history? All of these differences influence the way we work together. We are offering two different courses that will help you to expand your understanding of diversity and help you to value and appreciate the unique perspectives diversity brings to your organization.

Whenever differences of opinion exist, conflict can follow. Because conflict may have a negative effect on quality, productivity, cooperation, communication, and finding ways to resolve conflict and minimize damage are important. Many people prefer to avoid conflict, but our Resolving Conflict class will help you recognize and deal with these sticky situations.

Did you know that feedback is the most powerful tool for helping others—and you—perform at the high level required in today’s workplace? Everyone needs feedback to reinforce things they’re doing well and to provide guidance and support when their work falls below expectations. Our class, Feedback Fundamentals, will help you learn how to give feedback that people are willing to accept and are able to act on.
